Day 1: Arrival and Beach Time
Once you arrive in Sanya, the first thing you should do is head to your hotel or resort and check in. After that, it's time to hit the beach! Sanya is known for its beautiful beaches, and the most popular one is probably Yalong Bay. Spend the day soaking up the sun, taking a swim in the turquoise waters, and enjoying some beachside drinks and snacks. Start off by visiting the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone, where you can explore the Nanshan Temple, a statue of Guan Yin overlooking the South China Sea, and a lovely botanical garden. After that, head to the Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone, where you can hike through the rainforest, cross suspension bridges, and enjoy stunning views of waterfalls and streams. End the day by visiting the Luhuitou Park, a scenic spot with panoramic views of the city.
Day 3: Island Hopping
Today is all about exploring some of the nearby islands. Start with a visit to Wuzhizhou Island, a popular spot for snorkeling and diving. You can rent gear and explore the colorful coral reefs and marine life. After that, head to West Island, another popular destination for water activities such as snorkeling, parasailing, and jet skiing. These two islands are the most popular ones, but if you have time, consider visiting other islands such as East Island or Nanshan Island.
Day 4: Adventure Time
If you're up for an adventure, today's the day! Start with a visit to the Sanya Bay Coconut Dream Corridor, where you can fly on a zip line over the coconut forest and take in the stunning views of the bay. After that, head to the Sanya Tropical Paradise Forest Park, where you can ride a cable car up to the mountaintop and enjoy a hike through the lush forest, along with some thrilling activities like bungee jumping and a giant swing. Finally, end the day with a visit to the Sanya Ocean Sonic Park, where you can watch some amazing dolphin and sea lion shows.
Day 5: Shopping and Departure
On your last day in Sanya, take some time to explore the local shopping scene. Visit the Sanya International Duty-Free Shopping Complex, where you can purchase luxury items tax-free. After that, head to the Summer Mall or Chunyuan Seafood Square, where you can find some great bargains on local souvenirs and snacks. Finally, it's time to say goodbye to Sanya and head back home, refreshed and inspired!
